Socially Responsible Investment

Socially responsible investment is the idea of investing in order to be environmentally responsible thus benefiting the public at large. There are investments that can be used on various social levels and providing a service to the community and environment. Using personal concerns and considering the impact on society is known as socially responsible investing. It still considers the investor's financial needs but at the same time can provide help in many areas such as hospitals, nonprofit organizations and even pension funds.

This type of investing is growing more popular as people are now experiencing genuine concerns about the world they live in and realise that helping the community or environment can have more than a financial impact on their own lives and the lives of the people around them. One area is community investing; funds from investors can be used to provide loans to people and organizations that have trouble getting loans from financial institutions. This money usually goes into housing, education or small businesses. These types of investments can provide a huge positive outcome on a community in general.
